Best Practices–InDesign Templates

A sneak peek at our upcoming Adobe Fall Conference on October 9…

Adobe Expert James Wamser of Ripon Printers will show how you can jumpstart a project using an InDesign template and save you a tremendous amount of time and effort over the course of a job. A good template keeps things looking and behaving consistently from page to page and version to version. In the templates below, James uses Multiple page sizes (InDesign CS5 and later) to create each panel for a letter fold brochure. You no longer have to put guides in to indicate where each panel folds, since the fold marks will be added automatically when exporting a PDF. James will cover PDF settings in great detail.

To allow for folding, the panels are not all equal in width.

Outside panels: Folds to 3.5 inches.

Inside panels: Folds to 3.5 inches
