2019 Student Portfolio Review

When: April 26, 2019

 9:00am – 12:00pm Portfolio Review, Resume Workshop, Interactive Media Demonstration and Professional Headshots

12:30pm – 1:30pm Professional Panel Discussion

What: Students will have the opportunity to get their portfolio reviewed and critiqued by industry professionals, giving them the tools to help best introduce their skills to potential employers. The portfolio review is a valuable tool to measure how prepared students are for interviewing and landing a job after college. Digital portfolios are encouraged!

Martha Carrigan from Big Shoes Network, a targeted regional recruitment board for advertising, communication, graphic design, marketing, PR, social media, web design & development will be hosting a station that will give students insight on the outlook of the creative industry as well as a resume workshop. Students are encouraged to bring along their resumes if they have one!

Dave Razor Compton Wolff and James Thompson from Candeo Creative will be demonstrating cutting edge augmented reality and interactive applications.

Additionally, Graham Washatka from Graham Images will be taking professional headshots of student attendees. Following portfolio reviews, the resume workshop, interactive media demonstration and professional headshots, we will host  a panel of experienced industry professionals for a Q&A discussion that will provide students with valuable insight and advice to help them navigate their way to their first career opportunity.

Food!: The Fox River Ad Club will be providing brunch for attendees!
